If I were to get a legendary weapon, and I change ANY little thing about it, does that mean it will never be upgraded to the newest gear? I want to go for Incinerator but I wanted to change the sigil.

Yup you can change the sigil, no worries. It comes down to the transmutating of legendaries do things start getting iffy.

So if a legendary has stats I don’t want, transmute to another weapon that does have stats I want, I’m screwed?

I don’t know if legendary will be upgraded.
