if i pre-purchase will i be able to receive a hard copy of the game? sicne the regular pre-purchase (the only one i intend on buying) has no benefits except doing you guys the favor of testing it, will we receive a hard copy of it? if not, im not interested in pre-purchasing.

Yes. Starting on June 23, 2015, you’ll be able to pre-purchase boxed and digital editions of Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns from our official retail partners (additional retailers may be added during the pre-purchase period). You may also be able to pre-order through retailers, but there is no official pre-order program and pre-purchasing is the only way to receive the benefits of our pre-purchase program, including access to all of the Beta Weekend Events.

Note that the Ultimate edition is only available for purchase in-game and via buy.guildwars2.com. Additionally, there won’t be an option to upgrade to the Ultimate edition later if you decide to purchase the Standard or Deluxe edition.

You know, the physical edition is just a DVD case with a card that has the serial number on it. They can be somewhat cheaper at retailers though.

no guys….i went to two Gamestops and to Best Buy and i could NOT find a hard copy of the game to pre-purchase. i guess ill wait till launch.

I’ve seen it in Game and even in HMV in the UK. But like Garambola said it’s just a box with a code in to add it to your account or create a new one.
