I was wondering with this new system, if I have let’s say Arah armor on my Human Warrior, and wanted it on my Norn Guardian, will that be possible to swap them between each other at will?

And also I’ve been reading about people being able to equip Legendary SKINS. But will you be able to swap the actual legendary?

Here’s what it actually comes down to: I have a human warrior geared up in full arah and twilight, and want to switch all that over to my norn. Not skins, the actual items. Possible?

Not through the wardrobe system.

However legendaries are becoming account bound so you can swap your Twilight across. Ascended gear is also being made account bound, so if your armour is ascended then yes you can also swap that,if not, you’ll have to make do with reskinning another armour set with the look you want.

My thought was, once your account acquires a specific armor, you can use the look of that armor account wide. So I can get Ascalonian dungeon armor and skin the arah armor I have over it. I love the arah set and just don’t want to run arah over and over again on my norn. Especially a huge kitten norn

Actually the way I understand it is once skin is unlocked, in any game mode, you can use the skin. However, you will have to use a transmute thing (not sure what they will be called now) and the skin will not come with any stats. That’s how I understand it. So, if you have legendary you can use the skin on another char but it will not be legendary and will not come with the ability to swap stats like a crafted one would.

And to answer your question, yes I think you will be able to.

Now the real question is: Does this also apply to skins that you’ve had in the past? Say you had arah armor at one point, and then transmuted over it or switched armor and don’t have it anymore. Would you still have the skin unlocked?

I don’t think so, Kaspar. They’ve said gear that’s gone is gone. However, if you are able to retrieve the skin via a splitter before the patch and keep it handy, then you’ll have it for your skin locker after the patch.

Now if only I had some way of knowing which of my gear pieces I transmuted over special skins … I know I covered the human T1 helm with an eyepatch but that’s hardly difficult to replace for a few silver. And almost all my 80’s got full Temple gear that I then changed up but heck if I’m buying splitters at 300 gems each to split up 18 gear items. If I want a Temple skin that’s gone, I’ll spend karma.

So as to not open a new thread:

i still have my fused gauntlet ticket.

IF i use it on say, a heavy weapon, i assume it wont unlock the glove skins for all 3 types of armor? (heavy, medium and light)

I’d say use it as a pvp skin unlock that way you do get all three skins. Unless it doesn’t work that way, It’s been too long since that event.
