Guild Wars 2

Due to the size and scope of the final four story releases in season one, the next round of major features will be bundled together into a large “feature only” release that will come after the first season of the Living World 2014 has finished. Once the story has completed, we’ll go into much greater detail on what’s to follow, but for now we want to focus on making sure our last four episodes shine.

I’m sorry for trying to “weed” some things out, but I like detail, and it’s the main reason I play an asura(I am even wearing armor dyed for the festivities)
second being that Vekk was and still is my favorite Guildwars character
(I’m just not a fan of the elemetalist class, perhaps with the new grandmaster trait I might make one.).
But can someone please explain the use of the term “feature only”?
As it “sounds” like we might have to pay or access.

I might be just being a little paranoid, or pedantic with the specific terminology
So here I am asking for some clarification from the people who develop and have the final word when it comes to content.

If it is something that cannot be commented on(be it in public or not) can you please respond either way: answering the question for example, as someone would answer any other open knowledge question, or, delete the thread and inform me that I am asking about something that is “not the be commented on”.

Feature only would simply suggest that there would be no story-elements added in the update, but rather focus on game-play stuff like Precursor crafting, new Legendaries, changes to sPvP as mentioned in the sPvP road-map and so on.

I don’t see how it is in any way or form implying that we would have to pay for it.

They are most likely not saying stuff more directly because we all know what a kittenstorm it would be on the forums if something didn’t manage to get done in time.

They’re taking a break from the living story. The patch after the finale of the Scarlet arc will include features, rather than introducing a new story. For example, ascended gear and the LFG tool were features. Imagine stuff like that but in one big patch instead of what they have been doing – a little bit at a time.

Exactly, “Feature only” would be updates with no need of a story attached to it.
They can’t be specific on those kind of posts because if a small thing change along their plans, and it always happen in any project, the comunity would go nuts.
