Hey all, I couldnt find the answer to my question anywhere.

It was meantioned at release that we would be able to swap world servers at a cost.

I know you can transfer atm but you cant transfer back until a whole week. I only need 2 vistas in a map on wvw to finish it and Ill need to transfer servers to do it or ill be waiting 2 weeks for my server to rotate onto both of the maps.

Can I just pay gems to quickly transfer worlds, map the area then map back.

I dont mind the cost to instant transfer but I cant leave my guilds server for a whole week.

Anyone able to help me out??

sorry, nope you can’t pay gems to instantly transfer. you’re going to have to wait it out

Right now server transfers are free; however, you must wait 1 week to transfer again, as there is no option to pay and transfer faster.

ANet has said they will implement a server change fee in the future (paid in gems iirc) but it is not clear if the 1 week restriction will exist at that point or not.

Dang that really sicks, I need the 2 vistas that are in each of my servers opponents starting areas, so its gonna take a minimum of 2 weeks (I think) to finish the mapping.

That really sucks, I would pay 200 gems to be able to switch servers instantly so I could finish it off.

Oh well, I guess I get to practice my patience this week once again XD

They had to limit it to one week to keep things fair for WvW since it’s week long matches.

According to the wiki:

Players are currently able to transfer between worlds freely once every 7 days¹, changed from once every 24 hours ² due to concerns about the effect of free transfers on world versus world. Once server populations have largely settled and stabilized, world transfers will be restricted to once a week and cost a variable amount of gems based on the population of the world being transferred to: 500, 1,000 or 1,800 (for low, medium, or high population, respectively)³ In addition, after changing to a new home world, players will lose their power of the Mists bonuses until the beginning of the next World versus World match.

So, 200 gems wouldnt cover it anyways

jeez…. I wish they would move those vistas so you could get all points during one week as long as your team was winning. Barring someone from completion for a minimum of 2 weeks isnt fun.

I don’t see it as barring you for two weeks since you can enter WvW from lvl 2 on.
Unless you think you would level to 80 under 2 weeks?
