Im kind of new to gw2 and im trying to make money atm. Is it better to sell the gear/weapon i get from chest/bosses or salvage them and then sell them?

If you see it for 2.4 silver or less at the merchant, give it to the merchant, higher than that, put it on the TP as the buy order will be higher and you’ll pretty much cover the taxes too and make a tiny amount of profit.
At least that’s what I do when I am champ farming and need the gold. I still have a habit of salvaging pretty much everything I get but I’m working on it lol

Salvage everything. Use basic salvage kit on blue/green items and use master’s salvage kits on rares. Do check exotic drops on the TP because sometimes people want to buy those for the skins. Also check the exotics with superior runes/sigils in them, more often than not it’s worth using a black lion salvage kit to sell the ectos and sigil/rune separately.

The only reason people buy greens/blues on the TP is to salvage that gear themselves , so the prices will never be good enough to justify you selling them. Not to mention that you get luck from salvaging everything yourself.

Hope for a rare drop. Pray. Keep at it.. Bring a lot of time. Or buy gems.
