Guild Wars 2

Hi there. As you can see on my threads\posts history you can see that I’m not that much active on the forums BUT I’m a really big GW and GW2 lover.

A few weeks ago my PC stopped working and so I had to spend some money fixing it (motherboard issue). Of course I had to wait untill payday because I had no money, so I was PC-less for around 2 weeks.

In that time I played with my PS4. Actually, I mostly use my PC to play GW2, almost nothing else.

And that leads me to my second issue: my PC isn’t good enough for GW2. I think that the bottleneck is my graphics board (AMD R7 265). I bought this PC to play GW2 (and other stuff like work, etc), but then HoT came out and my medium framerate lowered from 45 (wasnt that good to begin with lol) to 30-40 and lot’s of times below 30.

Unfortunately I don’t really have the time nor money to keep up with PC advancements. I can’t keep myself up to date.

Other MMORPGs are already out on consoles: Final Fantasy XIV, Neverwinter Nights, DC Universe Online, etc. Most of them follow the F2P path.

Are there any plans to port GW2 to home consoles? Like the PS4 or Xbox One? I would gladly double dip if that was the case.

they cant handle the game as is. i doubt they could handle this game and consoles.

You don’t really need to keep “up to date”, especially if you mostly play older stuff like GW2. That being said, an r7 265 should be more then enough for GW2@medium. What CPU do you have and what resolution to you play at?

GW2 has enough issues running on high end PCs, so it won’t run even close to acceptably on modern consoles

They have said several times already that, for multitude of reasons, they aren’t interested in releasing a console version now, and they do not expect to change their minds on this in the future.

These are my specs:

CPU: AMD FX-8350
RAM: 12GB DDR3
GRAPHICS: AMD R7 265

I play in 1080p, High settings (lowering to Medium almost doesn’t do anything for the FPS) except player density.

Been discussed many times here over the YEARS and dismissed. It is not going to happen.
