When I say that GW2 HoT was coming me and my friends was really excited. Short after that we discoverd that we would have to pay for the game again and we decided not to play anymore.
- My Question is: Why do I have to pay for the GW2 again if I only want the expansion?*
P.S I WILL NOT buy the expansion to the price where I pay for GW2 again.
For the billionth time: core game is free now, expansion alone costs 50$.
This has been discussed and answered many times.
You are not buying the original game again, you are buying the expansion. The original game comes free with the expansion for those that do not currently own the original game.
Wait why dont I get all the prevous star wars movies when I see the new one.
Op your late to the party please wait for x numbers of years untill arena net announces the last expansion and then buy it and try to play through it all mate, maybe then you will understand why we got to pay for new things when they are new.
Or better yet log in to game now and try to do dungeons.

Because they are separate movies. You did not get GW1 free if you purchased GW2.
Remember, the core game was getting progressively less and less expensive leading up to the Free to Play announcement. The $50 is for the expansion, with an upgrade from F2P to paid thrown in if you don’t already have the game.
If you don’t think the $50 cost is justified, wait for it go on sale, don’t buy it, or wait for the next expansion, which will include HoT as well as the core game.
