When GW2 Launched I played it heavily for the first month and loved evrey second of it. In that month I managed to reach the highest level, and obtained the best loot in all slots. I did some exploring, crafting and ofcourse pvp. After that I became bored and quit the game…

I’m thinking of coming back, but only if there is more endgame content these days. Has anything changed in the last 7 months, or are Exotics still BiS and easy to get? Is endgame still only pvp and dungeon grinding?

I thought it would be easier to ask you guys then to go through 7 months of patch notes. Thanks in advance!

Well, that’s a tall order since there have been content additions every month…..
Off the top of my head they added:

Guild Missions
Fractals (dungeon which scales in difficulty to infinity)
A new zone
Living Story
Leaderboards
WvW ranks
Dungeon revamps
More jumping puzzles
Ascended gear
A couple PvP maps including CTF
Skritt burglar events
Upgraded loot from world drops & meta events
Flexible daily & monthly achievements
Tons of polish to existing content

You can take a look at the patch notes to see what I missed or more detail on what changed.

Is endgame still only pvp and dungeon grinding?

If that’s how you viewed the game, then no amount of new content will make it more fun than it was when you quit.

I can’t see the future at this time because I saw many worlds without people. Ranking in the WvW not help improve equality for the world that is running low on troops. They also fix dungeons more difficult for accommodate new players. These made ??me realize that nobody cares about the balance!
