I was reminiscing and thinking how I miss getting new skills from doing quests instead of just leveling up. True, this is convenient, but there’s something about doing a quest and having it as a reward that makes the skill feel that much more valuable. Anyone else feel the same?

Yes.

But they tried something similar by making it so you unlocked traits by doing specific events and activities and people complained endlessly (seriously, there was at least one thread demanding it be changed on the forum at any given time) until they took it away again.

I can’t imagine it would be any different with skills.
