Actually the leather prices have been dropping a lot lately. I believe the best way to make gold is to just play the game (HoT meta events, do fractals each day and so on), but if you want the grind experience there is always silverwastes chest farm.

in this game you do not make money , you spend it fast as you get it on things like account upgraded ie: bank tabs unlimited tools and bags . the same thing goes for crafting you will find your self in need of more mats then you have at that seconded

that point you spend the gold you got or go out farming . and even tho you can sell your crafting stuff on the tp for coppers on most items till you get to the high end crafting which you still not have much gold or mats . but you could use them crafted items too get your magic find up for better drops . despite what others will tell you on that one.

the most best way to make gold in this game is go farming for mats and do map completing . which I made more gold by just map completing then any other method . but will say with my magic find high I have gotten a few good drops I been able to sell on the trade post . and made a few gold off them at best .

every one will give you their option and idea on this gold topic . but truth be told when it comes time to do craft Ascended armor your going to need a lot of gold and mats .

leather is able to be farmed now some what easy . just deepened on the drop you get . some spots drop it ok and other spots no so much

once you gotten your account upgrades done tho you can save some gold from that.
unless you pulled out your credit card and done that already

no new system upgrades coming

Assuming you have no crafts to sell (or are keeping them for yourself), the best way of making money is to sell gathered raw materials— like chopped wood. There’s always demand for these. If you have an excess of laurels, you can buy bags of mats to sell too.

There is a way to farm leather, but it’s efficacy is debated often. In the upper right corner of the Lake Doric map lies a centaur stronghold and leather drops from the centaurs and the chests therein. I do not recommend going alone. Check LFG for a group to join.

silverwaste farm or fractal farm. Other methods of farming that I can think of is only profitable if you have several alts. As for leather, there’s a leather farm in lake doric, check the lfg every now and then.

The “best” farm really depends on you. If you like farming silverwastes (or at least, don’t get too bored), the gold/hour is top notch. But if you’re like me, and get bored after one run per week, it’s a horrid way to try to earn.

There are 1000s of guides out there, as a quick internet search will show. Take a gander at those and then come back and ask about the ones that interest you the most.

For many people, simply playing the game earns a lot of coin, if you place custom sell orders after salvaging the stuff you don’t need. It’s not necessarily as fast as dedicated farms, but it’s often more fun, less likely to burn you out, and you can progress on something else of interest to you (e.g. story or achievements).
