The influence is spent. It’s gone if you cancel.

It matters if it is already being built or not. If it is simply in queue to be built then you’ll get the influence back. If it is already in the process of being built then you’re sol. At least that is my understanding of it….note I have not cancelled a upgrade that is in the process, just ones that were queued to be built.

You get it back, I’ve cancelled several. You won’t get any back that you used to speed it up though.

You get full refund either way (if its just ont he queue waiting to start or if it’s started). You do not however get refunds on speed ups. Done this too many times and its on the wiki too.
