Now Im sure this varies from server to server but for some reason I see a ton of Elementalists and Mesmers. The only class I see more of is obviously Warriors but arent those supposed to be the 2 hardest classes to play to their full potential? Yet why are there so many of them? Having played MMOs since ’97 I know the majority of gamers arent pros and a lot are just downright terrible and even with the multitude of class guides available on the internet they just cant play their class. Which brings me back to my little observation. Why are so many people playing the classes that a lot of people will agree are the hardest to master? Are all of them just pro-gamers and can juggle all of their illusions and shatters perfectly or hop through ever attunement like its nothing dropping spells from all of them?

Maybe they got destroyed/owned by a pro in W3 or spvp and decided to make one themselves?

Lyssia Iceblood of Gandara – I sometimes win… but not often :-(

From my experiences though usually your easier classes are played more and the ones that require more skill are played less.

More importantly, I’d say, is that they’re the flashiest and most intriguing classes, and also the classic mage types. Flashy mage types are always high on the list of appeal, and looking cool trumps play difficulty.

Because even if the player has no skill, a person with a mesmer has a very high chance to beat someone on a warrior just due to class design.
