Quick question regarding farming
They usually are referring to dungeons that you can run quickly. AC p1+3, SE p1+3, CoF p1+2, CM paths, and surely others… all are rather quick to run with an experienced group. You only get the gold reward for each path once per day, so running the same dungeon path multiple times won’t net you much.
World Bosses give you at least one guaranteed rare each, which can be sold or salvaged into ectos to sell.
“farming dungeons for gold” likely means running explorable dungeon paths, such as Citadel of Flames Path 1 (the fastest of all). Finishing a dungeon path has a daily gold reward, along with the loot obtained along the way.
Doing world bosses, you’re depending on your rare drops and/or ecto salvages in order to obtain gold via the trading post. But using Citadel of Flame as an example, Path 1 takes about 10 minutes to run (maybe less, maybe more, depending on the group’s skill and speed) and gives you over one gold piece in straight-up coin, along with 60 dungeon tokens. The CoF tokens can be exchanged for rare weapons at 30 tokens each, or exotic weapons/armour for 200+ tokens each, depending on what you’d rather have. So while you can go and do Frozen Maw to get 2 guaranteed rares for your five minutes of investment, going to CoF1 will also get you two guaranteed rares from the tokens, around 1.3 gold in cash, and a couple of champ bags and several chests of loot in about ten minutes.
Of course, you don’t stop at just CoF1. CoF2, AC 1/2/3, SE1, HotW1, TA F/Up, CoE 1/2/3, all those are dungeons you can run reasonably fast for good coin rewards. Determined dungeon farmers will hit up most or all of them each day to roll in the gold!
