In 1 BE, he spread magic to the races of Tyria, and thus indirectly responsible for the wars that came afterward. King Doric pleaded to the gods and they rendered magic into the five Bloodstones, diluting their gift. Abaddon was incensed and went to war with the others, and he was eventually struck down at the Mouth of Torment, in a blow that turned the Crystal Sea into a desert. There, Abaddon was sealed within the Realm of Torment and the city of Morah was established to watch over the spot where he fell. Shortly after his defeat, the gods left the world in an act that came to be known as the Exodus.
During his imprisonment, Abaddon sought a way to return to the world, sending out demonic servants to subvert the mortal realm. It was a servant of Abaddon who persuaded Shiro Tagachi to murder Emperor Angsiyan, causing the Jade Wind, and Abaddon sent titans, who acted as gods for the charr and gave them the capability to perform the ritual of the Searing. this is what the fractals would of been if Evon won. but however the mass confusion in the debate most players be leaved it was this fight http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Abaddon%27s_Gate. now we will never know the epicness of what happened to the crystal sea or live it for that matter but at least we have asurans blowing up labs again.

this forum is for the possibility of reversing the statement of anthony and allowing us to be able to live that fight. what i b leaved what we could learn form this fractal is this
if we can learn how to poses the power of the gods and make each one of us avatars imagine the power we could unleash on the elder dragons. but i wanna get a feel on the community how or what influenced their votes to the human.

Yeah, I’m calling bull on that right now.

To offer both, they would have needed to do some preliminary work on both. Enough to know that they could do what they wanted to do, AND have it done by the end of the year. You don’t think they’re going to just throw half of that work away, do you?

The only way they haven’t done work on it yet is if they had no intention of letting that fractal win the vote. Given that we only have their word on the results, I guess that could be possible, but I’d prefer to not think so.

We’ll see it, eventually*. It won’t be this year, but sooner or later they’ll find an excuse to offer it up again in another choice, or just deliver it as a companion piece to something in the Living Story.

• Barring ANet getting shut down by NCSoft.

Why are people jumping to conclusions? ANet said they are never going to make the fall of abbadon in to a fractal, they did not say they are never going to expand on that story.

In my personal opinion, the Fall of Abbadon sounds like an epic story, I would love to see it one day, and it would be completely wasted on a tiny fractal instance.

Getting back on topic, I will say that I’m going to regret, partially, not being able to see an Abbadon Fractal be made. Hopefully we will get a better chance at seek what happened in the future. Remember, we do have a temple that was once dedicated to him in Straits of Devestation, maybe the Living Story will bring us there some day…

I am glad it failed because a lot of people would have hyped it up and when it inevitably fails to meet those expectations spend the next few months making threads about it.

THIS JUST IN!: Riot breaks out in Lions Arch on Tarnish Coast!. It seems as if some think the elections were rigged in favor of that harl..i mean, Ellen Kiel. kittentails and bees were thrown everywhere! The Mystic Forge took most of the damage but now seems to be back in working order.

I was wonder how long it would take for someone to use my bee party in one of these threads ;P

The best part is you can see me in the second and it looks like I’m fleeing the scene.

Well I for one hope they DON’T reused that location for telling the story of Abaddon in GW2, because underwater combat is miserable. Every class does like 2/3 of its normal damage there (at least the ones I’ve played)

Agreed. I’d love to see it in a GW2 rendition of the Bonus Mission Packs. We already have the farm of Balthazar via the Priory storyline.

As someone who played an excessive amount of fractals I have to say that I rather have good gameplay in fractals and no story at all.

Fractals are not improved by giving them fan-favorite story. They are improved by making small areas for well coordinated group play.

I don’t really know what is going on since I don’t get to play much of the temporary content…but it sounds like the result of this election determines that a new fractal will be introduced, and that new fractal is about the asura rather than abbadon. If that is the case then I am really disappointed.
