Just as a point of interest,

You state that Anet has said that a race change would be a bad idea, and ruin immersion, and that it is not something they are going to pursue. But then you ask for a definitive answer on the matter.

I am sure their stance hasn’t changed. Of course if anything, “it’s not off the table, but it’s not something we are looking into working on at this time.”
But thats the same response to everything, and the only one you’ll ever get on the matter.

Race and Class are what primarily define a character, if you change them, it’s not the same character.

If you want a new character, just create a new one.

Let’s see, 2 years down the line and Anet still haven’t bought into the whole race change idea despite ‘countless race change topics on the forums since release’…but yet you still imagine it to be a money-spinner idea?
