Race changer
In short…..no
It was said, once long long ago, that they would never make a race change item. They wanted the people to think about their choices, wanted them to mean something. I tend to agree that handing out race changers would sort of nullify anything even remotely meaningful about race selection, and do hope they never make such an item.
Of course, that said, I would like to see them add some additional meaning to being a specific race as them game progresses. More race specific story, maybe some race specific faction building, race specific quests. Give people a desire to play and learn the different races.
Yes i agree some more of private choices to your home instance that you can decorate
I wonder how many of the people that constantly ask for that, want to get rid of a Charr.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.

I actually would want to add more Charr as I’ve made too many human characters. Can’t be bothered leveling up a profession twice either.

Even with the home instance, race is meaningless as you can enter the home instance in any city.
Tarnished Coast – Dissentient [DIS]
All classes
This would never happen but I could see them making a tonic for each race for players that would like a race change similar to the watchwork knight tonic.
There is one way it could work. The item changes you to the race that you wish to change but at the cost of your personal story and cultural items equipped. So lets say you’re a Charr that wants to be human but you’re wearing a partial or full set of the Charr cultural armor. The switch would convert it to the human equivalent and your personal story would be rebooted back to the first chapter after the tutorial. At the change they’d probably make you answer a bunch of questions much like they did during character creation.
Of course many people have finished their personal story and don’t want to do it again or many haven’t even bothered to do it.

Neither of your proposals is good solution for everyone and everycase, thats why i doubt they will do it. Leveling is easy and best gear (ascended) is accound bound, so there is no real need to do this imo.
Race changing will happen right after they release Back To The Future 4.
Aka, never.
I understand there is ALOT of work involved with a race chance, but the whole Idea you “have to think hard about your choices” is stupid, you dont know what your choices are when your new to the game, you have no idea about store, armor looks, mechanics, etc…
And with Birthday’s you dont want to delete characters, or the way the new traits are, Im glad I have level 80 of each class already it would be a nightmare.
I have 2 warriors, 2 thieves, 2 guardians, 2 engis and 2 eles, b.c there isnt a race chance.
No. For the simple reason that races are, in a way, bound to certain choices and developments in the main story. Even if you are completely ignoring the personal story or didn’t like it, its not like they can just gut it for select players who don’t care about it.
Will they ever make a race changer into the Gem store? i have so many charcters to change the race on as i regret choosing back when game was new :/
It will only happen if Anet get rid of the personal story, which ironically would solve a lot more problems than if it stays in game.
