Hello everyone, I dont know if anyone has asked this before, but I’m not that eager to search through the large amount of posts to find it.
I know that race changer is not really an option, because the personal story would have to change which isnt exactly a thing that Anet wants. But what if the personal story would reset and that you wouldnt be able to get rewards if you wanted to complete it (people would be doing this for black lion keys if you would get rewards).

Any thoughts on this?

No Race Change – If they did it, I want it to be WAY more expensive than a character slot and a make up kit combined. I want it to be really expensive if it was implemented.

You can buy a character slot and make a new character – easiest way. I mean they really aren’t limiting us on character slots.

It was discussed many times before, it can be done with story reset or smth as you say.
We are just waiting for anet to implement this.(If they decide to implement)
It’s needed to have a new look without losing 100% map completion, character specific unlocks etc. I can gladly spend 2000-2500 gems for that.

Why not just roll a new character instead?

I think if you don’t like your race, remake the toon.

You want your cake and eat it too – not sure if I like that…..

Game is already kitteney and this would make it even more so.

Map completion is one of the things that I feel should not be carried over if someone does a race change.

Mind to explain the reason behind this ?

Dear Santa,
For christmas I’d like to get a crossbow for my characters.
With love, a cute kitty.

Colin said in an interview that they were never going to allow players to change race.

Of course you never know when they might change their mind about somehting.

I won’t object to a race change-if I don’t like it I just don’t use it. It literally will not affect me in any shape or form that another player wants to change from a rat to a cat to a plant then back to a human.

Well as much as I understand that rolling a new toon is an option, I rolled norn guardian because of reasons which I cant remember anymore. I’ve got alot of stuff on him and dont want it all to go to waste…

Then sell the stuff that can be sold, delete the character, and make a new one.

I can sell the stuff, but I have no interest in exploring the whole world again…

My point exactly. I wish this was an option I would pay for it.

I used to be indifferent but now I wouldn’t mind either a race change or a profession change. I would like to switch two of my characters. and no I don’t want to delete, remake and level to 80 twice more. I’ve already gotten 9 to level 80. Been there, done that.

Blah blah…race change…waffle waffle…personal story…yawn.
Sorry but race change threads rank highly on the sleep inducing scale…as A-net has given the idea a resounding ‘NO’ on more than one occasion.

I would like this option too. And even if I didn’t want it I would not begrudge others having it, as that would be childish.

Simplicity is complex.
