Guild Wars 2

Seeing as Guild Wars 2 is a very story oriented game- it seems that the possibility of a race changing service would be somewhat contradictory to the myriad of ways GW2 tries to immerse the character in the culture of their chosen race.

However, I’m holding out for whatever races that may be available to the player in the future (tengu/dwarves/pandaren) and I’m somewhat curious if the option to change a character’s race may be available as a service later on in the game’s life.

It’s just a thought and I was interested in seeing what the GW2 community thought of having a service like this implemented in the game.

I’m assuming that the story on new characters of new races would follow some new storyline. Changing your race would essentially break a lot of data, as a lot of it is based simply on your race.

If I’m to make a guess / example – dwarves will involve fighting off Jormag. When creating a character of an original race, your story would reach a fork at which point it’d be decided if you follow the base game’s story of the expansion.

It would be nice if you could Swap your race for gems, Dunno if it is possible for them to do, But would be soooo nice to have.
