I recently chose the Radiant Mantle through my achievement rewards, only to find it to be 2x larger than its suppose to on my character. Below are pictures of my character, and how its suppose to look.

Anyone else have this problem?

I dont understand non-human-guards selecting radiants in the first place

my norn guardian looks hilarious with them. Its like he is carrying 2 mountains of silver on his shoulder.

depends on body type, some have larger shoulder some have smaller pants and stuff.

I’m 300 ap behind to get radiant. But as far I have preview human guardians is the best match for this piece.

They look fine on my medium armor Asura.

…ok, that pretty much kills any plans to use radiant gear i might have had.

I love it, but I do have a human guardian.

They weren’t too big on my Asuran guardian. But combined with the glowing gloves they made her look like a little glowing ball.

They were way oversized on my Sylvari Mesmer. Two giant, floating, glowing, shoulder pads.

I think it’s a general bug with sylvari shoulders. All pauldrons I’ve reviewed look MUCH bigger on my male sylvari guardian in relation with this body when compared to almost all other races. Several pauldron skins look nice on my sylvari because of this, but the ones that are supposed to be big in the first place look like they’re about to crush his tiny head between them, like for example the dark set pauldrons.

I checked my female Norn warrior. They were appropriate (enough) size on her. A little big but not incredibly so.

Yup, sylvari are bugged, most of the armors and coats they wear are super inflated around the hips and shoulders.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that Sylvari cultural armors are quite modestly sized and they bumped up the ratio when modeling them forgetting that sylvari might wear other styles.

Almost everything scales incorrectly on Sylvari males. Just a curse we’ll have forever.

Shoulder pad size is linked with one of the shape feature when you created your character. My Charr was the tallest/skinny and my tier 3 cultural shoulder always looked small in comparison of others. I did liked it.

No, it’s too large on my Sylvari female also.

This is an issue with most dungeon/high end shoulder armor on Sylvari, they’re either strangely huge or they sit too high. And the thinner the build, the worse it looks. It is really discouraging as a smallest-build sylvari scholar as only the Ascalon shoulders sit properly, the rest hover way too high.

It would be nice if they had someone take a day and re-position and proportion them. (Yes, I’ve worked on this kind of thing before, it wouldn’t take too long.)

That doesn’t seem the case with Sylvari, whose shoulders seem locked on the largest setting no matter what the option you chose. It’s why I wear non-dungeon shoulders, which sucks as a lot of dungeon shoulders are designed to balance out the rest of the armor.
