I have two exotic rampager’s ring which have unused upgrade slot. However, i cannot upgrade the ring with any orb. Is there something i am missing here?

What lvl is you character and what lvl is the ring?
If you have the lvl 64 or lvl 72 version you won’t be able to stick a top tier gem in it. The upgrade’s level needs to be equal to or less than the ring’s level.

I thought orbs were used for Armor and Weapons, and you had to make the jewel version of the orb to be able to put it into jewelry.
