Ok maybe I’m being thick here, but how do I reset training and the tree it has randomly given me on the reset?

Or am i stuck with the garbage build Anet have decreed is what I wanted until the toon levels up and I can post training and hero points into where I would have put them?

As an example, my lvl23 thief now has some random training assigned, but worst of all, SHADOW ARTS unlocked- which would have been my last choice as the skills in it are totally useless for what I want to do at that level.

I agree, it sucks what they did to low level toons. I would have preferred to be able to choose how the hero points were spent on characters that have very few.

Play the game how THEY want dilemma.

Yep. Logged the lvl80 ranger and build is totally blown now, only 3 trait lines means I’m missing stuff I needed to survive.

Wonder whether it’s better to reroll those low level (chest opening) toons or leave them forever kitten, as it sure doesn’t seem sensible to now level them up when a rerolled would have better trait choices and stats….

One day, Anet will test out this stuff on players before they throw it at us…

Sigh. I guess my level 40-ish Necro decided she needed a life change, and re-traited herself completely while I wasn’t looking. This is going to be a lot of “fun” not playing her how I’d prefer. Why not offer a hero point reset?

Guild Wars 2, I believe the much vaunted mantra was “Play Your Way”.

It gets better- as my ranger lvl23 happened to have sword and horn on, it now has ‘wilderness survival’ trait line unlocked….
