During my weekend, I decided to seek out all of the Aetherblade caches for the achievements. On my travels, I ran into many players in these jumping puzzles or mini dungeons, which was expected. Also, at each cache was a number of players camping the respawns of the Aetherblade Pirates. No big deal, right? I mean, I helped kill the pirates if they were there, collected the cache and moved on. I wasn’t doing any harm.
I was also traveling with a partner, as doing these helps a lot with somebody else.

Until I got to one cache.

As I approached the cache, there was a player standing there spamming his #1 attack. Attacking nothing or while fighting. Both of us attempted to contact this player via /say asking if he was really there or not. After a few moments, there was no reply. So, as most players would do, we reported him for botting. As we walked out, discussing the final cache to collect, the “botting” player replied, rather angrily. He stated that he normally plays with his chat off and does not feel obligated to respond to anybody and then accused us of “abusing” the report feature. He also stated that we would get banned instead of him, for false reports. We assured him that if he wasn’t really botting, then nothing would happen, yet he insisted that we would get banned instead of him. No negative things were said toward him, and we simply warned him of how his actions look. Both of us left shortly after, since we did not want to get into a heated argument that he was trying to initiate.

I am not trying to seek out any sort of revenge or justice or what-have-you. Though he did act extremely suspicious. I am simply sharing my story of what happened between a few players.
