Ranger pet control, a working on/off
Set your pet to passive. It won’t attack enemies and you’ll only get locked in combat for the normal amount of time you would if you get hit by an enemy.
Thank you Electro. I had never noticed that.
I still think the disable feature shouldn’t bring it back out until we want it.

it doesnt pull mobs, it doesnt put you in combat unless its set to aggro, it doesnt DO anything just sitting there. no reason to code a whole nother mechanic when the current one does just fine.

It’s not a “whole nother” mechanic since it’s already there. There’s a button to hide your pet. It just come back out anytime you enter combat.
I think what would be more useful is a key to toggle passive/aggressive instead of having to click on it. They could make it so the follow command make our pet passive until we use the attack command and the attack command makes it aggressive until we use the follow command.
You can keybind the active/passive toggle in the options, it just doesn’t have a keybind by default.
