Rare materials should be tradeable
What rare materials are you talking about?
Can you be more specific? Your idea makes no sense. Casual players can make legendaries no problem. Trading? Why not use the trading post? I honestly am confused by this post.
Press the “o” key.

I think he means account bound items and currencies like mystic clovers, legendary gifts etc.

Tradeable as in directly between players without trading post? It can be easily done between friends via mail.
man, could you imagine what the cost would be of account bound items like this on the TP?
I wish there were a way for friends to help each other out with account bound items. I can’t count how many times someone has wanted some blade shards and look at my stack of them and wish how I could help them out.
If they allowed for personal trading ONLY for account-bound (not soul-bound) items, it would allow people to help each other and not effect the economy of the game in any negative way I can see.
The other solution if you don’t have the time to craft this awesome stuff you want, is just to save up the gold or throw money at the problem. Typically the end results of the high end crating (legendaries) are up for trade and you can already just purchase them in game.
yes i was meaning account bound
NO. They should not. there are very good reasons why they are not.
1 of them is to keep the Economy safe.

What would be the point of trading the gifts? At that point you might as well just buy the whole legendary.

Almost sounds like he wants someone else to do the work and just give him the item.
I think that is part of his point tho… you CAN buy a legendary, but not all the sub components to make it.
you can buy the mystic coins, t6, lodestones, the ectos, the individual parts for the gift of whatever weapon is needed… hell you can even get around some of the account bound stuff by just donating gold to the person to buy the icy runes and what have you.
There are ones you cant buy, like the stuff requiring skill points and obi shards. and as far as I know those are in place for the sole purpose of making a player play the game in order to gain them… IE time wasters… but that is all negated if you can just buy the end result with gold… why waste time gaining skillpoints and obis if you can just throw gems at it and bypass the whole process?

RMTs and hackers would have a field day with this and it would be a CS nightmare, dealing with all the complaints.
A gift of fortune takes 2k fine t6 mats, 250 ectos and 77 clovers to forge, all those items would now be storable and still be tradeable with only occupying 1 inventory slot instead of 10. If the gift itself is stackable I could store high tier mats within a single inventory slot, who would normally take up 2500 inventory slots.
So as a super rich buy, I just buy up all the t6 mats, craft gifts of fortune/might/magic and then sell them via personal trading and without taxes to someone else?
This is not gonna happen.

If playing the game is a waste of time then what is the point of making or having a legendary? -_-
thats my point khisanth… you can buy endgame strait out of the gate… you get bored quicker and faster. there is no reason to limit the mats if the final result is purchaseable… unless there are other monetary reasons for doing so… And come off it.. you know as well as I that there are alot of things in this game simply put in place to take up a players time. Those are what I am talking about as time wasters…

Well with the present system both precursors and legendaries can be sold, so why shouldn’t it be a problem to sell clovers or gifts? In for a penny and all that.
However with the new system where the precursors (to my understanding) will also be account-bound as will the legendary they produce I don’t it it’s so straight forward.
I think all materials should be sellable to a vendor, but not necessarily to other players. People are deleting some excess stuff, which just seems silly. I can sell a spoon for 10 silver but I can’t sell bloodstone dust for a few copper. What really annoys me though, is that my low level characters receive story rewards that cannot be salvaged or vendored.

I think you are mixing up the story rewards with the level up rewards. Story rewards are salvageable but level up rewards are not.
