Rare underwater breathing masks are here
I’d noted this line, but it wasn’t a big deal for me lol.

People are talking left and right about the new encounters, increased health on bosses, etc. What I noticed is that no one is mentioning that we finally have breather masks higher than masterwork quality in the game.
Sure, there’s going to be naysayers who say that underwater combat is crap and therefore not worth being mentioned. Despite their opinions, I’m glad a step has been taken to add more breather masks. I’m tired of having a karma merchant’s breather mask.

I’m still not getting one until I can get an ascended one or at least an exotic one. Rare is garbage by comparison.

I thought I was the only one who liked those quaggan/krait events. Easy WxP and once in a while a good fight when you catch someone trying to build the node.

While it’s true that rare isn’t much of a boost, it’s a step towards exotic and possibly ascended breathers. While I’m not going to go out of my way to outfit any of my characters with a rare breather asap, I do plan on keeping them if I got one from a drop.

Yes, Rare is garbage compared to those upper tier items that do not exist anywhere. Rare is great compared to Masterwork I think is what you meant to say. Assuming you are going for BiS on all pieces.

I would agree that compared to Ascended/Exotic a Rare one would be garbage however…
comparing the new Rare one to my current Masterwork one. Masterwork is garbage.
