Anet, can you turn down the volume for this particular carrier please? The shimmering sound it makes is really loud. Much louder than anything else going on in the game.

Oh, yes. This would be nice. I got two of these out of Black Lion chests, and whereas I like the concept, that noise every time I buy or sell something on the trader is a bit much. If I have a lot to sell, I default back to the original bird for quiet.

I think they are adjustable via the player instrument volume in audio options.

I’ll check, but I usually have that all the way down anyway. Give me a few moments to report back!

Edit: player instruments does not affect it. It’s Effects.

IMO they should separate combat effects from non-combat effects. That way we could turn the latter down without missing cues in combat.

I admit that it took me a while to figure out that pixie dust shimmer sound was actually my Raven Mail Carrier. I thought Ravens made a “caw” sound.

Ya I noticed it was the same sound with these as well. Very loud as well.
