Imo size is not a problem, low resolution is. It looks like something pulled out of 2001 game.

I don’t have that issue really, but then again, maybe I think it’s normal due to the hazy/ghostlike form

I add theese screens just to give you guys perspective how it looks from perspective of other player, and this isnt event the worst scenario what happend to me twice already, when i see world in the "fog"of this glider. Best option IMO will be to disable gliders of other players in options, then all of us can decide: I want to see this or not.

Totally agree with this. Was running around with maybe 15 in VB the other day just doing event chains and we went to jump off a cliff to hop onto a lower road and then suddenly I couldn’t see my character at all with 4 or 5 of them having huge gliders. I realized if I had needed to land in any specific spot at all in that or any situation I’d have not been able to. While I think players should be able to be as flash as they want, please don’t make it to the detriment of everyone else. (I’m including the Raven glider in this but there are several others like that flaming bird one as well.) A check box or some sort of toggle would be greatly appreciated.

First glider I’ve liked in quite a while. It is a bit big, but I understand that because of the shape and form it has, but I can also see how that becomes a problem/annoyance for others.

I am a huge supporter of more options to disable/enable specific visual things/clutter. And would absolutely love to see an option to disable/use standard models for Wings, Backpacks, for other players so you can still see your own.

Also do the same for all the light effects and flashy looking stuff from attacks and skills. If more than 5 people attack the same model, it looks more like a Disco than a fight, and my eyes start hurting.

It’s a bit large on certain character models. But I like it. I dyed it to match Mesmer powers.

Just think of all the refund requests (and rightfully so) they’ll have if they nerf the size.

Glider is too small imo. Needs to be at least 2 times larger.

My 4k monitor has more space – it needs to be completely covered.

It looks like they pulled the bird effect off the ranger GS #3 skill and scaled it up. Now my personal opinion thats a little lazy of them… but it worked because I bought the glider lol…

What they need to do is redo the texture at a higher resolution. The original low resolution is because the ranger skill is way smaller and only visible for 1 second.

as you can see in [gw341.jpg] the raven glider is the largest, but less than 20% larger than the smallest, and therefore, well within the scope of a normal glider.

Hence, it’s far from being too big

If my Norn/Charr have to suffer for being overlarge and shoddy jumpers, so does everyone!

Really though, it only appears while gliding. It’s not likely to get in anyone’s way. :\

I’ll 1-up that, I didn’t just buy the glider for it’s looks and size, I bought the gems to buy the glider, so if the glider was a different product, I wouldn’t have bought the gems in the first place. They gotta refund the actual money

Actually, you would more than likely only be refunded the Gems.

Per the Knowledge Base: ‘If you have used the purchased gems, you may not be eligible for a refund.’

Doesn’t look too big to me. The spirit of Raven is encompassing your character. Thus, to make it any smaller would be rather dumb.

Glider looks perfect, some people just really enjoy numbness and everything plain. Which is part of the reason ANET removes visual noise, rather than adding a toggle button for those of us who like the game to feel alive.

If they decrease the size then I demand a refund. And no, not in gems. In USD.
