I’ve done 1-50 on 3 character and now doing it on a 4th, and I’m still having a blast. Still looking for a character I will actually like at higher level.

I’m only responsible for what I say, not for what you understand.

If you hate it now, then nothing’s going to change at 80. You get a few traits, a few skills for your builds, thn you either farm or do PvP. if you’re not too big on PvP, then you’re probably not going to play much.

I play because I enjoy the game. The pve is less of a hassle in terms of questing, meaning I can complete quests how i want to, and I like being able to take on content a few levels ahead of me for the challenge. i’m also a pvp nut, moreso open world style, so I’ll be spending my time in WvW, hunting people down.

Orphyn X – 8X Thief – Tarnished Coast
Lady Raevyn – 11 Necromancer – TC
Fanboy- The New Godwin’s Law.

Well the real question is…What is worth it to you? Do you really need an end game if the game is giving you fun right now? The way I see it is that even if the end game didn’t exist and there was no point getting to 80, then I would just take my time enjoying 1-79.

Wow is —-——>

i am serious. If you play this game expecting dungeons will be worth it later on, you may as well just go back to wow.

Now you mention it, the new Challenge Mode in WoW looks really good. I’d be happy to pay just for that feature alone. Timed dungeons, leaderboards, set gear (as in you can’t gear your way through the dungeon). And something Guild Wars 2 lacks in spades, some sort of organised structure to combat rather than some zergy ‘look at me ima dps’ mess.

As of right now.
Map completion..
but after that… what?

Cant do dungeons without risk of high repair costs
cant wp coz of high in game tax

Is this gonna be another guildwars after they said its not like guildwars, where I just turn it on to kill people in sPVP?

Is it?

Who knows?

I will when I get 100 percent map.

Also to people who say, go make another toon and do the story line.
Lets see the story lines work like this, think of an upside down evolutionary tree where everything comes back to one point.

That point being the death of zhaitan.

Now up to level 30 each race has different storylines, then you join the factions, even then factions have similar storylines, after that, traherne becomes pact commander, its all leading up to one common point.

Do I wanna do all that work?

No thanks rather not, I offer my services to help newbies out with their personal story woes.

That’s kinda like playing a first person shooter and saying “Wow I got all the weapons so fast? Why bother playing more?”
Or playing an RTS and saying “Oh wow I got all the units already? I quit.”

You shouldn’t really play games just because they give you unlocks.
You should play games because you have fun playing them.

If you don’t enjoy playing a game then you should find a game you do enjoy playing.

If you’ve only played PvE and PvP interests you you should give it a try.
It gives you all traits, all skills and all equipment (stats wise) so you can just create a build and play it like an FPS.

If you don’t like that either there’s WvW.
And if you don’t like that either (Is that even possible?!) you should move on and find an another game. Sorry.

Not everybody likes every game.
Sort of how DoTa is massively popular and I just can’t seem to like playing it no matter how hard I try.

I play because I find it fun. That, and I love crafting my own armor with mats I earned myself.

Also like gaming the market with crafted materials.

I find doing a dungeon here and there to be a nice break as well. Mixing my armor sets so I’m not doing only one dungeon over and over again.

I find some DEs to be repetitive, but alot feel pretty epic. Failed a few and you really see the repercussions (stood on a bridge…failed to defend it and pirates blew it up with me on it.)

I’m thinking about delving into WvW in a little bit. It’s unbalanced warfare. I may make some consumables for my guild so that we can roll over other people.

But yea, mostly I play to have fun. So I’m enjoying it. Truthfully, with most MMOs, you will have people leave in the first 2 months. After that, you have your core audience. Then it is up to the developers to either grow the game or let it decline.

GW2 seems to be one that has a really solid foundation, flaws that are manageable and fixable, and a vision for the future. If you don’t like PvE, WvW, DEs, crafting, exploring, or PvP you can always comeback when something new is introduced.

However, I’m here for the long haul.

Here’s what people thought of GW1 when it first came out: http://tinyurl.com/bntcvyc
“A release is 7 days or less away or has just happened within the last 7 days…
These are the only two states you’ll find the world of Tyria.”
