Reapers Brawl
Is this the one with the skeletons, and putting the pumpkins in your base? If so, I’d like to ask what you’re actually supposed to do with the pumpkins. I take them to the shelter things but when I get there I am unsure of what to press. Do you just drop them there? I did that but nothing happened. Are you supposed to press 1 or 2?
You press number 2, and toss it into the building, then it summons some minions (skeletons) to aid you in your battle. I might be the only one in the forums who actually finds this game mode fun.

I think the majority have found it fun. I do, for one. Most of the rage has been directed toward the clock tower jump puzzle but I haven’t found anyone who has disliked the Reapers Brawl.
Thanks for the tip. I do enjoy this game mode, especially as there’s no downed state. Makes a nice change.
@Creeper Yeah, pretty much everyone i’ve talked to loves Reaper Brawl… the clock tower on the other hand…. Different story!
@OP I for one love it and will be sad to see it gone at the end of the halloween event… that being said, i kinda love the skill set for it, and am not sure how they’d add more, i was thinking maybe a scyth (to fit the whole sickle harvesty thing), but other then that nothing would fit with the reapers brawl weapon wise…
PS: I think they should keep it with just using X weapons and not the whole Destinies Edge thing, i’d imagine it’d be you spawn and then you pick up a weapon set from a bunch of them on a wall or something and then you’re locked into it for that match, it could be some sort of Codex esc thing where your characters all fight that way because they’re bound by a set of rules.

Well, the point was to have diff sets of skills, and being the Destinies Edge heroes, they do have diff skill sets, I suppose just picking a weapon at the beginning would work just as well.
Lol, I’ve never noticed the “No Down State”, but you’re right, after playing it just a bit before the “New Build” I just noticed you die, and can’t attack, either wait for a res, or respawn.
That being said, it is an incredibly fun game mode, I could definitely see this as Guild Wars 2’s “Esport”. People love MoBA games, and Anet can’t figure out a way to make a balanced PvP mode, well, this is exactly the way to keep it balanced, and I believe the exact way Guild Wars 2 could become an E-Sport. It’s balanced, there’s nothing you can say that states it’s not balanced. With some changes, new weapons, skills, etc. ArenaNet could indeed see this as being their “E-Sport”.
I would love to keep this mode, and would love to see maps, after maps thrown into this mode, larger maps, more buildings, maybe some different buildings to bring items to to spawn different type of “Minions” (just an idea, not really needed, but would be interesting).
I have to say it’ll be sad to see this go as well. I’m enjoying the hell out of it. The matches are fairly short, because of the small map, but that’s not a bad thing at all. Loving how short it is (Least for the personalized bags).
I personally believe ArenaNet should try to expand on this game mode. More voices, and opinions just need to be heard on this “Game Type”.

I gotta say, one of the main things in the game mode is they’d need a down state (only prob would be a set of 4 skills should be per item, not per prof in such a game type), the downstate is needed to keep it more GW2 esc, and the whole lack of downstate thing made me sad…

Really? I rather enjoy other players making stupid decisions, and getting themselves killed, and the players who killed them don’t feel like they need to struggle to keep the dead players dead. I think the downed state in this mode is fine the way it is. It would be looked down upon in “E-Sports”, considering there’s so much that “Could” go wrong with players not being just dead. I don’t mind the option to resurrect them, and heck, it could be a 5 second res for all I care, I’d just rather not have someone interrupting me while I’m fighting such as getting a hammer to the face, and being knocked down when I’m about to kill someone else, and then dying, due to that other player knocking me down.
It’s difficult to stay focused on a “Downed” player, and the player you’re currently fighting at the same time, plus, you can only dodge twice, before having to regenerate your endurance again (which should be called stamina….). If you dodge the downed players knockdown skill, you risk the chance of not avoiding the enemy you’re fighting strong/main attack which could possibly kill you as well.
A lot would have to be thought out while trying to expand on this game mode. It’s just my personal belief that the downed state is a bad idea during “Some” types of PvP, and I believe if this were to be something ArenaNet would expand on, the “Downed” state should simply stay removed, unless they take out knockdowns, blinds, immobilize, and healing skills that players could use to self “Regenerate” themselves back to life. Again, just a personal out take on this particular game mode.

my only experience with this was my teams skeletons apparently hated the idea of attacking the enemy spawning areas? I solo pushed a lane, and then had to solo the spawning thing, as all my skeletons decided they felt like standing around instead of helping.
Then later we had ~6 people whacking on the enemies last spawning thing. It dies, I look over and see they’ve put another up, and all 3 of ours, which were at full hp when their last thing was at 40% are now all dead. We lost.
Kinda confused on that one. is there some super fast way to destroy the spawners? Are skeletons from the south team supposed to just ignore the top left spawner?

Sticking up my hand.
Hated it. Really just underlined for me, far more than PvE, how awkward the battle system is. I couldn’t find a single reliable ability apart from a pistol shot with a super-long cool down. Would kill for them to implement some kind of proper aiming and collision detection, so that it doesn’t seem completely random whether I hit someone or they hit me.
