Afair at least 300000 players (needs citation) have been online during the Karka event
I guess the servers scale, so “high” may mean something different in absolute numbers tomorrow than it does today. I wouldn’t think of physical servers anyway, they’re probably scaling and roaming instances (zones) amongst physical machines for load balancing as needed. Which is why you’ll end up on different overflows on zoning. During the Karka event, probably too many people were in one zone (Southsun Cove) so even the overloads were overloaded (eheh).
Those technical details are nothing I’d make too public anyway. I always see enough players in all zones on my server and as long as there are at least 20 active people left in my primary guild, I don’t really care.

Nothing. As far as i know those limits are dynamically adjusted (for example they jumped up just before the last event, and all servers suddenly opened to take in the influx of invitees).

Actions, not words.
