The Festival of the Four Winds arrives on May 20th for North American and European players, who will “get the opportunity to help rebuild the beloved city of Lion’s Arch that was destroyed by Scarlet [Briar] in Season 1.”

It isn’t much, just a small notation really from an interview. Seems like they are being tight lipped at the moment. Wonder how it will be incorporated. Last time we had Zephyrite involvement we had a vote. Would love something similar, a vote to decide what the new LA is going to look like!

That said, can’t see it happening. After all, they have to make it look like the China LA which is already in existence

kitten, I’ve been pulling for keeping LA rubble, maybe building a new city elsewhere. Ah, well.

I’m sure the rebuilding of LA won’t happen in a matter of weeks.

I think LA will be rebuild along the whole LS season 2.

Can’t wait to see the new stuff and do some of the old stuff, hopefully this time I’ll defeat Liadri.

Fyi, China’s LA currently looks just like ours and the stories, content, patches will be synched going forward.

As others have commented in other threads, it makes sense for Tyrians to rebuild the commerce hub given its prime location for the purpose. But let’s hope that 1) it’s got a whole new look and 2) it doesn’t happen inside of a week. Give us phased stages of construction, with appropriate NPC dialogue changes, preferably world wide.

It’s still jarring in the Salma District to hear someone complaining that the caravan from Lion’s Arch is late. I want to shake her. “Lady, haven’t you HEARD?”

Personally, I don’t see why it’s taking so long to rebuild LA. We have a profession that constantly shouts, “I can move mountains,” another that can make clones of themselves, a char Legion that specializes in engineering and an entire Asuran race that has nothing better to do than invent things while ridiculing everyone else’s inventions. And that’s just what I can think of off the top of my head! All the council has to do is grease some palms while challenging a few egos and LA would be back to spec in less than a month!

If you vote Evon, you can buy keys to open bags with a chance of a brick or plank to rebuild LA, 100 bricks/planks exchange into a partial wall/frame, 20 partial walls/frames make a building. Of course Evon is going to shred the prices to pieces and keys will be 5% cheaper …

Or you can vote Ellen, who will dispossess Evon and trade bricks/planks for tasks/favours (various daily/repeatable/roleplaying/emote-using-“quest-events”) and grant you ZERO waypoint cost within Lions Arch.

Or you can vote the new mystery candidate X, who mumbled something about redirecting efforts into finding coughcanthacough lost places and stuff.

They are either going to help rebuild Lion’s Arch in different way or I was thinking the Zephyr Sanctum might be our new Lion’s Arch?, just a thought though ^^
