Hi everyone,

I just wanted to ask if anyone lately has experienced anymore progression in rebuildung lions arch? I myself haven’t seen any significant signs in the couple of the previous patches we got, that there has been any progression in getting rid of all the rocks from the broken buildings or repaired bridges at least or the removal of the driller from the ocean in lions arch or where the portals to WvWvW are.

I also wonder what will be when the Halloween Event hits this year again? Will the Halloweens Lions Arch be the one we previously had, or do you think ArenaNet will completly decorate this new lions arch?

Just aksing cause I’m kind of getting sick and tired of the current state of Lions Arch, I really start to miss the old one we had, it was open, had nice music playing, much was going on around althoug most of it wer erepetitive NPC’s but still, it’s better then this all time depressed dark lions arch where everythign is just bad because of scarlet.

It will probably get a bit more repaired as time goes on, but I doubt it’ll be all fully repaired now for the Halloween update, that wouldn’t make sense. It’s likely going to be a re-decorated map, with re-used assets. E.g., the Mystic Forge has moved, so the cauldron will likely be in that location instead. Things like that.

All the money we collected during the 2. pavillon has been disappeared. Probably this new Skritt clan inside the large west cave is responsible for that.
Over the time LA will turn into some kind of slum, just like in Kaineng.

Organized crime on Tyria must control all the unions because by now, some 6 months after Scarlet’s defeat, the major bridges should have all been repaired, wooden debris removed, less damaged structures repaired, some of the major pieces of wreckage from Scarlet’s drill removed or have crews around it tearing it apart, etc.

Please no, I love having all the assets mashed together, rather than running back and forth like I used to.

I have a feeling that the Mad King will take one look at the place, get upset, and rebuild it himself.

If it’s safe to leave it like that will be up for debate.

Yeah his joke for this year. Instead of destroying LA again he completely rebuilds it in its new glory while flipping off the players.

This must be it, there can’t be any other explenation but that, some sort of underground skritt mafia, probably the ones who also stole the whole money raised from the queens pavillon, are also controlling the supply market, that’s why the work is going so slow.

I mean in open world events bridges far bigger then those in LA get destroyed and rebuild on a daily basis, right? ;P

Well the bandits have been working on that bridge in Brisban since launch. Maybe it’s just a bunch of unskilled workers :P

Not just for Halloween, but for Wintersday as well, Lion’s Arch is in no shape to host either.
In reality, the fact that there is a location at all is rather pointless. Most of the activity wasn’t in Lion’s Arch at all, but mostly accessible from there via NPCs dialogue or doors found out in the world.
The only purpose the city served was as a visual set piece. If being approached like that, it wasn’t such a bad idea for the devs, as they can keep LA’s progression as slow as needed for impact and story telling.
It is too late to make suggestions, but the possibility of a creating a haunted location in LA that we could go to (That old excavation site comes to mind).

That is a pretty cool idea. Mad King is the best troll.

It would be the best LA city ever. He can then take over everything else and all will be great and good. claps hands Yay!
