Please reduce the requirement of each of these daily achievement by 1.

I bought the Basic Mining/Logging/Harvesting node so that I can easily complete the daily chore. I didn’t buy these to be forced to run out to the zone looking for these nodes to complete the daily chores.

The basic logging and mining nodes have 9 mines and 9 chops each. The daily requirement is 10. By reducing the requirement by 1, I can easily achieve the daily chore by supporting the game by buying the basic nodes.

Just by having one more, you put a middle finger on me because I was supporting the game. Is this how you treat customers?

You need only pass 1 ore in an appropriate area. When your doing WBs, of doing a dungeon run you should see one already.

Agreed.

It’s even more annoying when you don’t have a home instance full of nodes to use.

If the harvesting is going to be super specific for only 1 type of node rather than X amount of 3 types, then reducing it by one decreases a lot of running around looking for a fourth node for that last final harvest. Considering how widely scattered the nodes can be, that last harvest can be an extra several minutes of searching.

Be careful what you ask for
ANet may give it to you.

In the worst case, you can just run out the south exit (or north exit even) of Lion’s Arch and take about 2 minutes to get to some ore, trees, or harvestable plants.

Although 10 is a little bit of a weird number seeing as the standard gathering amount is 3 per node. 15 would definitely make more sense to me.

How amazingly lazy. Usually I can use a type of wood or ore and I hop into the appropriate zone for the daily. And for foraging there are plenty of gardens that you can knock out the daily in one go fairly quickly. I will say that I would like the number of events to be reduced. I don’t see how doing 4 events is engaging. It also ruins some zones by having 80s zerg in and destroy all events in that zone for the day.

I never even do those dailies, because if I don’t feel like going to a zone I don’t feel the need to go to then I’m not going to. Usually only ever finish the spvp and wvw dailies. If 1 single node is too tedious to do why bother? It’s a game~ do what you enjoy and not what feels like a chore.

You’re horribly, horribly confused. An ISP is selling you a plan which includes things like a certain level of internet speed. So yes, that would be a problem if they did that.

Anet sold you some gathering nodes for your home instance. You got the gathering nodes. There has been no change in the quality of the gathering nodes. They are exactly the same as when you bought them. If Anet had removed some of the gathering nodes you bought, and required you to pay more to get them back, then your analogy would be apt.

Anet did not sell you an “Easy Daily Pack.”

It can be bought with in-game gold from the trading post, sold on by other players. When I say “trading post”, I mean “trading post” and not “gem store”. No real money needs to leave your wallet if you choose to buy from other players selling on the BLTC (who yes, admittedly got lucky).

You just need to put a price on your opportunity cost of having to go to a zone and find a node. Personally, I’m fine with gathering in the open world. Do it a week and you soon learn where the permanent rich nodes are, and where the high density of tree nodes are.

This. I’ve hovered over them in the gem store. They do not claim to have enough nodes to fulfill the daily. They were not sold as items to fulfill dailies. They were sold as nodes that can be placed in your home instance for quick and easy access to nodes.

Last time I checked, they are still able to be placed in home instances and still offer quick and easy access to nodes.

Therefore ANet is not required to change the Daily to match them or to change the nodes to match the Daily. Because they were not sold as a means to fulfill a Daily.

Regardless of the merits of the suggestion, it’s usually a poor tactic to ask for a favor of someone by calling them uncaring.

There are lots of ways to get dailies, lots of ways to support the game, and I don’t see anything misleading about the current offering. Besides, you can get enough nodes to get your dailies without leaving home: basic mining + oric node, basic logging + ancient, and veggies + snow truffle.

tl;dr I think dailies are fine as is; I think the home instance nodes are fine as is.

I can understand the OP. You spend the gems, maybe even real money, to buy these nodes in hopes that you can get that easy daily out of the way while visiting your home instance. I don’t think it has anything to do with being lazy, and everything to do with giving Anet money for this convenience and still having to go to another map for one swing of an axe. For what these nodes cost, at least one of each type should give one extra harvest. It’s not being lazy. You’re still going to whatever racial area required for the daily.

The only one worth it for this purpose is the ore because you can have the sprocket and/or quartz node.

Asking for the Daily to have 1 fewer requirement just so you don’t have to go out and find one more node is lazy. Because it’s not hard to do and it doesn’t take all that long to do.
