Guild Wars 2

Hello everyone

I am a (Dutch) European player who just moved to the Philippines due to work requirements. I think you can already see where this is going.

Trying to play gw2 on my current server (RoF) with the internet speeds that are common here (3-5mbps download) is extremely difficult. Usually, I can expect at least 500 ping, but it easily spikes upwards to over 1300. Is there a way to combat this? Naturally the first thing I did was check the servers, but the only ones available were the EU and American ones in the list. I am also aware of the suggestion of a VPN but many have reported these to have adverse effects. I also don’t need the suggestion of ‘get better internet’, that is extremely obvious, but fibre cannot be made available here easily, let alone cheaply.

Has any server been opened for players like me, who moved, to select outside of China? Any help is welcome, thank you.
