Hello! I just want to hear your thoughts about this one and hopefully from their community representative as well. I just want to know that by any chance we can get something out of it. 15th of November. Already invited a friend and got a serial number for him to try it out. I understand that my friends still need to purchase the game for him to be able to play thoroughly.

Of course there are those people that will take advantage of this “refer a friend” if there will be a prize for it. I may suggest] on adding some sort of basis or condition beside referring. For example the free trial player must complete the “Lost Shores” event for us to receive some kind of reward.

Another thought is that this free trial system, should it be added to the permanently? As I way I see it lots of other retail games has this one. Why limit the free trial? So anyways, I’m hoping for some good feedback on this one too.

I’m all for these sorts of trial weekends – they may bring new players to the game – but only if they are run properly. In this particular case I think Anet has failed miserably. Putting a free trial weekend on at the same time as a ONE OFF world event is both stupid and irresponsible. What happens if I was to try and log in and was unable to because of the influx of trial accounts… I miss out on a one time event for someone who may never buy the game.

Anet have really put little thought into the timing of this trial weekend, and should expect a massive backlash if people who have already paid for the game cant access it.

It would be nice for an Anet rep to clarify what led them to putting these two events on at the same time.

Apart from the little rant I’m all for free trials… just not when one-off events are on.

What I’d really like to know is if our friends we refer to can get onto our specific World Servers. There’s not really any point in inviting them so they could play if they can’t play it with the person who invited them… Since I think for a lot of people, these friends are playing partly to play with the person that’s inviting them to the game as well.

I’m on Stormbluff Isle, and the server for that is often full, so the three friends I refer to won’t be able to play with me if they do play and can’t get on Stormbluff as well.

I don’t know about you or anyone else, but I have been playing GW2 since BWE2 and the only time I wasn’t able to log in was when there was a bug in the system. Let me tell you that ANet got their people on those bugs fast.

You make it sound like there is no way to play if there are too many people on a single server. Do you not know about overflow servers? You are still able to play the game while you queue up for your home server.
