I’ve not used mine yet.

Unfortunately my bank slots are at a premium, so I may tear it to shreds and consume it for delicious karma at some later point. Sorry, but a kid’s drawing that I got for fixing some signs is not exactly the high point of a career to someone who’s vanquished Zhaitan…

I’m more of a roleplayer than a by the numbers player, and if a kid did a drawing like that for my character, she would keep it. It’s staying safely tucked away in the bank vault.

I thought it was cute…but I wanted that 10k~ karma (was it 10k? I don’t even remember) to waste on Orr jewelery boxes…it was worth it. :x

This poor sick little refugee girl is surely giving herself arthritis by drawing thousands of pictures for us heroes and you just go and tear it up. Monsters.

Talk to the heralds in any of the starter towns/Lion’s Arch, they’ll clue you in.

A memento of what? Running around 2 maps doing boring chores? Personally I set my standars a good bit higher. So far this event is nothing but one big disappointment.

And it’s introductory hook was massively boring. Barely any story in it and 75 repeatable tasks? What’s next? Kill 10 rats?

Haha, I’m saving it too. But it’s really mostly because I want to use the karma on another character with a profession that has better looking karma gear.

But I could see ending up saving it just for kicks. It is one of the cutest rewards I can remember getting in a game. And I keep misc stuff all the time like the starter weapon on all my characters (My bank could be an episode of Hoarders, thankfully I keep that behavior in the MMO space).

This would have been a nice thing to hang on the wall of our home instance. I’m still hanging on to it though. Because sometime I like to be a bit illogical when I play video games.

It’s a game. The point is to have fun. I will have more fun if I save it than if I consume it. So logically, I should save it.

I honestly wanted to save it. I kept Gwen’s torn cape and her broken flute in my inventory for 7 years in GW1.

I actually do have the broken flute, torn red cape, stone summit badge, and the preserved red iris in my inventory in GW2 (yes, they all still exist here)

But I was curious as to what the reward was on consumption, so…I ate it. 5000 karma.

Its cute lol, but I ate it. I really liked it though. I can’t wait for the next event. Oh and if you’re complaining about this event just know this is OBVIOUSLY a prelude to something much bigger. Common sense….where art thou?

I just finished all 4 tiers and got nothing in the mail. Is it on a delayed timer or something?

EDIT: Nevermind. You get the mail after you zone.

I didn’t get my mail until I zoned after completing it.

I’ve used it straight away. I don’t like having useless items in my inventory.

Everytime i looked at it, i remembered that there were no children among the refugees i helped. It was just too sad to keep a memento of a child i didn’t save. I ended up using it for karma.

I did whatever it is we do to get karma from it.
Eat it, tear it up, shove it into our ear. I have no idea… but I did it.

I must have made a great impression on that Refugee Child… even though I am Asura, he drew me as a giant Charr.

Poor little bookah. He may have a diminished thinking capacity, but I tell you he has a G.O.L.E.M. sized heart.

They drew my Asura as a Charr too! Then again, a Charr ICly called her ‘Charr-Heart’ once before, so I think it suits her!

Considering how he still runs around and helps them out regardless of reaching that tier, its a fair thing to do.
