• Where is it posted? I saw that it would be posted on the 17th, this last Monday but can’t seem to find it
• I know that ranger got voted for the first class balance CDI thread:
  How long will the thread last?
  When will it be put up?
  How long before the next class gets picked and put up?
  Are we trying to get all the classes in discussion on CDI before the next balance update?
  If not, how many class specific balance CDI’s are you trying to get in before the patch?

A dev official response to as many of these as you can would be great. Once answered, you can lock the thread. Thanks!

The run time has not been established, but there is a sentiment that 2 weeks could work best.

No schedule has ever been mentioned regarding additional/future Profession discussions. I think we’d better not scare them off with this one .

No, the March 18th patch will definitely hit before there are 8 rounds of CDIs .

Past experience suggests Ranger will be the only profession to have a CDI before March 18th.

Look at the post date on that – it’s NEXT Monday (the 24th) not last Monday .

Ok, thanks. I just saw a post from a dev saying the 17th. I just hope I can find the info on the balance CDI’s as its kind of hard to find and search for information on the forums. Thanks again.

The first real CDI was about the living story. The result was that both us (the players) and the devs learned a lot. It also resulted in a break in the living story. They decided to change things and they needed time. It is why we didnt had any living story from wintersday till the origin of madness.

The result is still in progress, we can’t really judge them till the final chapter has been introduced, but just looking at my friendslist (still more then 50% is in LA), I think it might have been a success.

The CDI is used to use us to make the game better, but from our suggestions to a new plan in game takes a long time. in case of the living story it took 4 months to develop, and on top of it, it takes another 2 months for the new story to be brought to us and the moment we can judge it.

So the input in the ranger CDI will NOT have an impact at the march 18th update.

Your best bet is to use the Dev Tracker on the boards, and just scroll down looking for Subject lines that have “CDI” in them. Most of them will be by Chris Whiteside talking about the overall process for the next round, but the host for the Ranger thread, Allie Murdock dropped in briefly in This Thread.

You can always check the Stickies, and, say, Profession CDI threads will always be in the appropriate Profession sub-forum. Or should be, anyway. But the Stickies in General Discussion should point you to wherever the on-going CDI threads are taking place.

Quick dumb question, What is a CDI?

Most of the discussion is between players/peer review, but the host occasionally comments or guides the topic through questions. Towards the end ideas are gathered and carried off to be discussed by the full team that handles those issues.

I think they need a couple more CDIs about the CDIs before anything real is discussed.
