“Those attached to specific modes of play, such as the WXP or magic find boosters, are being replaced by a new guild-effects slot that functions like food and utility effects. Once your guild unlocks them, these effects will be available from a vendor in your tavern. Each guild member can only have one effect active at a time, but they’re free to swap and effectively never expire.”

This was my biggest Yay!/Booooooo..! moment in reading this post. On the one hand, keeping guild buffs ticked every day can be kind of a pain, considering how inconsistent they are in terms of build time and duration. Some are 24 hours, some are 48, some are 3 days…it makes them very hard to synchronize, and having to re-up them becomes a multiple times a day gig.

So making them permanent is awesome, and removes a lot of that hassle…but they’re also limiting us to 1 buff at a time? Not sure it’s worth the trade-off. Pain in the butt or no, I’ve TAKEN those pains every day with my guild to keep our 5 core buffs up, and we’ve all gotten used to having MF, Karma, Crafting, Gold Find and Gathering on 24/7. Being told to just pick one to keep is kind of a kick in the balls.
