Guild Wars 2

Hey there,

I’m pretty new to GW2, I’ve only played for a few days, and I’ve been reading some posts about the game having a region lock.

I’m going to be moving from England to USA in August, permanently, and just wanted to know if I will loose all my progress?

I know if I buy the game in EU, it will only work in EU etc, and if that’s the case, I would have to annoyingly buy the game again in USA to play it there, but I guess id just do it if it came down to that.

So, if I play on my EU game, in England, and level a character up over the next few months, will I be able to use him on the same account in USA, if I buy a USA copy?

Thanks, I just don’t want to invest so much time, for all the progression to be lost T_T

have you tried to change worlds? try to do it before moving, i mean changing your home to US world

there shouldnt be a reason for you to buy again the game just because you are changing your home

you can always try to contact the support team, however if you wish to not move home world and just play from usa in european server youll probably have some latency

This is definitely something you should contact support about.
