Reminder to all legendary holders
Do you have any pictures in your Gw2 screen shot folder you may have taken on the day you created your legendary?
You can view the properties of the picture, and check to see what date it was created.
I would recommend allowing that ticket to close and opening up another, and hope you get a player support specialist that actually does his job.
I’ve seen people that have lost items to hackers and even bugs and dealt with player support because of it. Never seen such questions, you are most likely being asked for information that he knows you can’t provide, that nobody could provide, most likely because he doesn’t want to do the work that he’s being paid to do. Those who I have seen that have lost and sought to recover items through player support have been able to prove ownership in whatever manner they were able, not through specific questions not a single player in the bloody game could answer.

amazing they can track a harmless email whit more than 200g BUT cant track such important item inside the game via log. I never end to amazed the logic of arena net.
I guess I kind of get it. I do some file restore myself, dates do help. But to need create time and lost time? Hrm. Create time even kind of makes sense but I don’t see how lost time could be very relevent.
They should have back ups of your complete character that they should be able to restore to. This could result in the loss of items obtained recently but should get your legendary back.
I think I would follow the advice above, allow the ticket to close and open a new one. Do not reference the old ticket when you open up the new one. Don’t tell them this is your second ticket because the new rep might feel compelled to back up the previous rep. Just treat it as a new issue.
If you don’t have any screen shots at all of your character with the Legendary that might help you out.
This is really quite disturbing if true. I feel this needs a response from Anet to confirm if this is in fact policy.

This is total BS Anet, I made the shield after a very long time a few months back and no I have no idea what kitten day it was. So your telling me if it vanishes due to a game bug ( because I think I’d remember typing ‘The Flameseeker Prophecies’ ) into a delete window and I don’t know the creation date it’d be lost forever? Despite having at least 1 Legendary achievement linked to my account?
I guess it could have been salvaged, but I don’t know do you need to type the name then also? If not that should probably be added.
Well once I’ve finished my Sunrise which won’t be too long I’ll make sure to screenshot it with dates etc. Ridiculous, sort it out.

In any case … look after your stuff. If you have expensive stuff, don’t lose it … That’s your own responsibility. A.net helping you is a kind service but I don’t see it as a requirement.

Assuming what he is saying is correct based on what he recieved from an Anet employee. And I guess you missed the part – which isn’t a unique case either where people have items go missing. If that is due to a game bug then yes it is a requirement that Anet do everything they can to rectify that. And item restoration has been around since the dawn of time.
A dev response would be nice.

I don’t think you should worry, if what OP says is true that his Legendary just dissupeared then it is one in a million.
(Not saying OP is a liar, just saying that he could have lost it one way or another, I don’t have a Legendary so I don’t know but what I have read before is that if you Transmigate a Legendary you will be able to sell it or destroy it without the extra security).

Always, always take a screenshot when you make your legendary. It doesn’t hurt and it also shows others that you didn’t buy it.
