Remove Dailies add.....
put the correct term in but not everyone has kittens
One of the purposes of the current daily system was to remove achievement point board hunters’ perceived need to slavishly do all the chores each day. There were quite a few complaints about this. Whatever changes might be made to dailies, and fks they need some changes, the cap on daily points should be preserved to keep the QoL nature of the current iteration for AP hunters.
That said, I’m all for flexibility, and believe there need to be 16 choices, 4 each in PvP, WvW, persistent world PvE and dungeons/fractals. However, I believe the 3 for completion aspect needs to remain, with any additional rewarding the fluff chests as now. Within the 4 modes, the choices ought to be more generic, with only 1 task being specific. Maybe the specific task can award a better chest if there’s really a need to shove people into specific areas.

Most of the rewards from the old system are given just for logging in now. The new dailies are, on the whole, just as easy as the old ones, and yet offer bigger rewards.
I think the new system could benefit from more variety and more creativity: we’ve seen all these dailies before and (at least for the first months of the year), they were repeated the same every month.
Here’s what i don’t understand. I thought Anet didn’t like zerging, certainly lots of player express they don’t and i certainly don’t. What exactly was the point of getting rid of champ train and replacing them with this daily system? What is the difference? I mean almost every day, you are herded into one thing or another, usually the same crap over and over like groundhog day. What exactly is non-zergy about giving you frozen maw, SB, fire ele etc every other day? Where every man and his dog are forced to congregate if they want to do their daily.
I remember when frozen maw, sb and thes lower lvl bosses took a bit to kill, now, they’re down in few seconds. It’s embarrassing and depressing to be part of it and it looks terrible when it’s being streamed on twitch. No wonder gw2 has a reputation for being zergfest, coz well, it is. Now that title is official, as it’s been sanctioned by the company itself through this “innovative” daily system. /sigh
I think the dailies need better gold rewards. Don’t care much about the achievement points.

I don’t think adding more gold into the economy is a good thing and especially something done on a global scale such as daily rewards.

Champ trains in starter zone were nerfed because of the interplay between entitled kittens thinking they owned the champs and reactionary kittens who deliberately killed champs to set them off. These groups had chat wars, and these wars look bad. They were not nerfed because of zerging. ANet likes large groups of people doing stuff together, though why they had to bring that kitten into daily events in low-level zones is beyond me.
3 kitten post (all typed, not replaced by filter), a personal best. Yay, me.
They already changed it so that you just get the rewards for logging in. The dailies are just meant to be for achievement points.
But seriously who cares about that?
It should be a unique event each day with a unique currency, and unique skins at the end.

What Indigo said. But the dailies, at least the PvE ones, were always about ushering the population to regions, zones and events that they might not do otherwise as a way to expose and populate under used maps. It’s a lot less now because we don’t have many if any map specific gathering/vistas anymore, just regions.

Yeah, I never understood why they felt this way. You never actually needed to do every single one. You only needed a few for completion.

Each one awarded a 1 AP. So it was in a AP hunter’s interests to complete every single daily achievement. Anet then put a cap on the daily achievements before going to the system that we have now.

Just need more gold sinks.
To me, the new daily system is a move away from the original intent of GW2. GW2 was not to be a daily grind for certain things or to be forced into certain areas of the map, but rather to be free to explore the whole world of Tyria. And in the process to experience all of Tyria through the things that one chose to do and getting rewards, crafting materials and other things while doing it. The way the daily system is now, one is forced to do certain things and forced into certain areas to receive an achievement point cap of 10 points. Achievement points should be found where ever one goes in the world of Tyria and should be awarded through whatever one is doing.
If Arenanet wants more people to explore more of the world of Tyria than give a real incentive for doing so. Such as, epic battles that one does not soon forget win or lose, with better drops or much richer rewards. In addition there needs to be new content that is added into areas that one has explored numerous times. It gets boring when nothing changes. Tyria should be a living world where new content and characters occur in familiar places, as well as new battles and bosses. It was so refreshing when Lion’s Arch became a war zone and had to be reclaimed. We need change in familiar places so that we are always surprised and challenged.

Dailies are the incentive to do things in other areas. You get a little reward for doing things related to it. So you get a chest of mats for the gathering, WXP for the WvW ones, etc, etc. And if you do three of them, you get some achievement points for it.
The only thing I can think of that they should change is to make events region specific instead of zone specific.

Just need more gold sinks.
Then its better not to put in more ways to earn gold if you then have to turn around and invent new gold sinks ( making it dubble or tripple work for people to get the illusion of earning more money )
The problem with region specific is that nobody will venture beyond the race city’s gates to do the content. World boss events by nature are map specific. The only PvE class of daily then is the do 4 events in map X and I don’t have a real problem with that.
As for “new daily system is a move away from the original intent”, how did it differ from the original daily system? Only differences are Laurels aren’t part of the daily, the fix 10 AP reward if you do 3 of 12 dailies Vs 5 of 10? 12? and each daily is worth 1 AP. If anything, the decoupling of the Laurel makes me more incline to skip the daily. The token awards are just that.
