Remove Mist Walkers in Southsun Survival!
No, they are necessary to speed things up. With just two remaining survivors, one could hide from the other almost indefinetely which would cause a lot of frustration for the defeated, waiting for another round.
Translation:
I got karka’d QQ.
@Abyssmal Shadow – No. Everyone gets karkered every now and again. All I’m saying is I think its a poor design.
I don’t get karka’ed.
It’s not poor design because they designed it that way. In fact they PROMOTE revenge killing if you read the description. Just think about it as karma, most of the time I can avoid getting killed by the karka anyways, it’s the stuff you dropped that’s like :/ but i mean that’s the game.
Karka + Trip = Revenge
The only change I would like to make would be to allow mist walkers to apply torment to players who are camping in places the Karka can’t reach. That would help speed up the game as players would be less inclined to play hide-and-seek.
Personally, I love Southsun Survival. I have played well over 200 games at this point and still love playing, it is a different game every time through!
The mist walkers work the opposite way to what was likely intended. They punish the players who stay in the main area and try to survive, but they don’t punish the players who grab lots of rations and who run off to the far west of the map to camp.
It’s not a game about surviving against the other living players, its about who can get away from the dead ones and that isn’t right.
Would you rather die and not be able to do anything but watch?
This is the reason why they implemented this. So that you wouldn’t have to sit on the sidelines for the whole duration. At least this way you can get revenge (and also keep getting points)

Except its not. The point of the mist walker state is so that you can actually do stuff. Having said that, they should increase the number of motes. I’ve noticed the only thing possibly out right irritating is that after two minutes into the game (post grace period) it becomes extremely hard to get motes. Otherwise the game is okay. Not poor, but not perfect either.
For me it seems like a less interactive version of Lunatic Inquisition. Now that game was bad kitten.
Easiest way to not get screwed over by the wisps is to get very acquainted with water. Cant place traps or spawn karka in the water. the coastline is your friend.
I love this game, including the mist walkers… karka’ing surviors is so much fun, especially as they seem to have made the karka more aggressive.
I wish the revenge motes would stay in the world until someone picks them up, right now they despawn after a while.
Also, once the survivors are down to the last pair they should be able to see each other on the minimap, help deter camping!
lol being a mist walker is phase 2 of the event. nothing changes in your objectives at all (except the urge to exact revenge on the person who just killed you)
when a player dies, the rules change but the objective remains the same. (i personally find that to be brilliant)
your job is to try and survive for as long as you can while everything, including the mist walkers, does everything in their power to **** you over.
stop thinking of mist walkers as people who lost the match and recognize them as another layer of depth in a system that has been designed to kill you.

i got nothing against the mist walkers, WHAT kittenG ANNOYS ME IS THAT THEY ALWAYS WIN THE GAME WITH MORE POINTS!!!
