How about of making minor traits in to major ones, and where the minor traits were, make it a major slot, that way we could replace some “useless” traits that server no purpose to our build, yet they benefit from being in that trait line (for example, you go in to that trait line for the stat gains, Reanimator comes to mind).

It would open a window in to making more builds to be honest, and more options are always good right?

I like this idea, interchangeable minor traits has the potential to open up more build choices beyond the 2-3 cookie cutter builds for every class! +1 OP

New D/D elementalist build

Air 5: Zephyr’s Boon (fury and swiftness on auras)
Air 10: Bolt to the Heart (20% damage to foes bellow 33% health)
Air 15: Electric Discharge (lightning bolt on attunement swap)
Air 20: Air Training (10% damage while on air)
Air 25: Tempest Defense (20% damage on KD and stunned foes, and auto shocking aura)
Air 30: Fresh Air (air attunement recharge)

Earth 5: Elemental Shielding (protection on auras)
Earth 10: Stone Splinters (10% damage in melee)
Earth 15: Rock Solid (aoe stability on earth attunement)

Arcana 5: Arcane Fury (fury on attunement swap)
Arcana 10: Renewing Stamina (vigor on critical hits)
Arcana 15: Elemental Attunement (almost perma regen/ protection)
Arcana 20: Final Shielding or something else
Arcana 25: Evasive Arcana (spells on dodge)

Not only would it open up more options, it would allow ANet to collect better data on how many people actually like certain minor traits. Currently, they can check how many people are using each major trait, but, if given the option, how many thieves would totally ditch Last Refuge for anything else.
