Remove the Bleed Cap now please?
I like to agree, 30 players with bleeds, 5 of them can hit cap……..all that wasted damage potential:(, would love to use my bleed warrior….but sadly there no reason to yet.
Heh, one auto-attacking ranger = 8-13 stacks of bleed.
So, 30 players with bleeds, 2 hit the cap.
But, they can’t remove the cap, otherwise enemies would go down faster than they already do.
So shines a good deed in a naughty world.

Isnt that the point? to show your actually doing damage? if anything increase health pools. i wouldnt mind a tad bit longer fight, if it means im doing my full damage potential.
I can hit 18-20 stacks by myself as scepter/dagger ele, so this is a really really stupid thing in the game.
It needs a cap, otherwise people would just stack bleed builds. If anything they should try to rework some abilities to do damage based on the bleed stack

Not a bad idea.
Or just give each player his or her own bleed stack.

Possible solutions:
Remove cap, DR on bleeds after 25 stacks
Remove cap, first bleed sets base damage, additional bleeds add percentage to damage per tic (based on condition damage).
Add effect (damage burst?) to bleed-inflicting attacks that trigger at a certain number of stacks (25) and removes bleeding stacks (not necessarily all, depending on effect power).
In dungeons it kinda sucks. Many groups wont let you join them because you’re a Ranger and they already have a Bleed Class. Making a new Damage Type might help out.

Yeah, me and my husband are both condition specs, so when I make a dungeon group, I don’t want to invite another condition class/build.
I only notice bleeds when I’m using a shortbow on my ranger. Could you switch to another weapon type? I tend to use longbows when in a group with other bleed classes.

This is not true, or rather it is true but it’s not a bad thing. If anything, power scales better and at higher levels power damage is greater then condition damage (which is the other half of the reason condition spec is not so great), so why should condition damage be nerfed even further with an arbitrary cap?
Why should 10 power specs be able to kill a monster 10 times as fast as a single guy, but 10 condition spec can only kill a monster maybe twice as fast? it’s stupid and unbalanced for absolutely no reason.
On top of that they should really, really considering giving everyone a separate burn/poison stack too – my engineer can already stack infinite burn all on his own, rendering every single other burn from every single other class in the game completely redundant.
Honestly this is one thing about GW2 I really, truly can’t understand. WoW had the same problem with warlocks on release (none of the warlock DoTs stacked with other warlocks) and it was crippling for the class for a few months… only in GW2 it’s MUCH worse because everyone shares the same conditions.
Unless it’s some technical issue it just feels like they hate condition spec and don’t want it to be worthwhile.

I totally agree. I played guardian before my elementalist and I hated the burn mechanic so much. I still have to deal with it on my ele, but my focus is bleeds, like a necro.
If they fix these condition issues, and make condition gear more available like it is to power builds, I’ll be extremely happy.

This is true of all damage. Yes having five people stacking bleeds on to a single will bring it down very quickly, but not any quicker than five thieves using heartseeker. There is no reason for condition damage to be capped that doesn’t also exist for direct damage.
Just give each player their own stack. Problem solved.
