Slight spoiler, if you haven’t finished the game yet, please don’t read on.

I believe the Zhaitan battle would be so much better if it didn’t cut to cut scenes constantly. Why can’t we view Zhaitan attacking the ship from our own point of view? Why do we have to see Zhaitan being blasted by lasers from a distance. It disrupts the action, and takes you out of it. There’s even a point in the battle where it cuts to a cut scene twice: Near the end of the battle, it cuts to a scene of Zhaitan being blasted by the mega laser and then it cuts back to in-game, but everything is frozen, and then it cuts back to a shot of Zhaitan being blasted by lasers. Its very sloppy, and it really disrupts the action in an unpleasant way.

There’s also timing troubles, where lag can cause the camera to trigger a bit too late, so that Zhaitan is actually off screen because the camera is having trouble keeping up. So the camera actually makes sure you miss some of the action. Just make it all in-game please.

I know a big improvement to this battle is long overdue. But this would be a minor quality of life change.

Like I said, a big improvement to this battle is long overdue. But that would require a ton of extra work. My suggestion wouldn’t. They could easily take out the scipting that triggers the cameras, and just have the animation of Zhaitan being blasted play out in real time. I do not understand why they did it this way in the first place.
