They’ve confirmed that there are going to be Rename Tokens available at some point, yeah? If so, have they mentioned a rough time estimate?

I’ve got alt-itis and I’ve got it bad… I originally restricted myself to eight characters, but now I have plans for eight more, four of whom have been made, three of whom will be stealing names from three of the original eight (all of whom are 40+, and thus too advanced to just reroll with new names), and two of whom will remain just dreams until a 6th race (TENGUTENGUTENGU) is added.

So the roster right now is 4 Humans (2M/2F), 3 Norn (1M/2F), 3 Charr (2M/1F), 2 Sylvari (1M/1F) and 2 Asura (1m/1F). Well… that’s what it will look like when I can rename some, anyway. My Female Asura Necromancer became a Female Asura Engineer (name spelled slightly differently to better conform to Asura patterns, so I made her already), while I’m turning the existing Necromancer male and need a new name for him. My Male Charr Engineer was a mashup of concepts for two characters, one of which is taking his current name and becoming a Male Charr Guardian, so I need a new name for the Engineer too. And my Male Norn Warrior was a shoutout to an older tabletop gaming character, but I came up with a better way to reference that character as a Human Male Thief, and also came up with a better roleplaying concept for the Warrior, so now he needs a new name too. Also I worry that my Female Norn Ranger’s name isn’t quite… Norn-ish enough. So I’m thinking of a rename for her too (she’s my second 80, definitely no good for a reroll).

So… yeah. That’s four right there. I’m honestly looking for an excuse to rename a 5th just so I can get the inevitable bundle discount.

As of now, we don’t have an estimate time for the name change token or name change contract (As you can see here http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Name_Change_Contract). There have been other threads about this and as stated before, when we know, we will be more than glad to provide you with as much info as possible on the item.
