Which event are you talking about? Most events in game can be completed without ever be downed let alone dying. The only exception I can think of is Tequatl.

Now if you’re trying to solo a champ, it’s a different story. Not recommended for most casuals. But the champ events are usually done with a zerg so I’ve never die in those either.

Considering the cost of pretty much anything else, I don’t mind paying a few silver after dying once or twice. It’s one of the few gold sinks in the game.
