The volume level on the boomboxes is roughly half that of any other instrument in the game… Can we get it to be increased to normal levels pretty please?

I’m not talking about the volume slider in the options… I have that slider maxed out and the boom box is still half as loud as a choir bell, harp, horn, etc. I don’t see why the boombox should be quieter. If people don’t want to hear my boombox they can turn their slider down. However if I want to hear my boom box I have to crank up the volume to max. And then if someone walks by with a choir bell they shatter my speakers…

Now hold on here, personally I prefer the difference in sound SAB boom boxes give off compared to player instruments. It would be pretty distracting to hear a boom box overshadow a players instrument.

It would also be pretty lame to hear multiple boomboxes at max volume… But that’s my opinion really.

I already consider the existence of the boomboxes a way to grief other people. It’s already happened that I was watching people, and someone with a boombox decided to stand next to them, they wouldn’t leave (so obviously griefing), we moved, they followed.
So we reported them for harassment (for lack of a better option) but our music day was ruined.

They are a boombox in this magical world, leave them as they are.

we were trying to have an open festivity there, I mean, we wanted people to stop by and listen. If we hide in a corner to avoid people from getting to us it would defeat the entire purpose

I actually witnessed, in Rata Sum, someone jumping into the middle of a music group (who sounded great I might add) with one of the new metal SAB boombox and laughing at everyone trying to ask them to stop.

I just don’t understand human behavior sometimes.

It bums me out that people are using my metal covers for trolling.

I imagine trolls are among the overwhelming minority of boombox owners. I play mine at the beginning of boss fights, or in wvw zergs. I also think they sound a wee bit too quiet, and could do with a nice increase in volume.

Trolls can disturb anyone with any other instrument too (especially stuff like Trumpet 1 spam or bell 1 spam)

This shouldnt be an argument against equally loud Boom Boxes for people who enjoy those
