I for one am going to go crazy on April 15 tracking down every single skin in the game, both weapon and armor. I mean, hell, I’m already planning which of my light-, medium- and heavy-armored alts I’m going to play to soulbind and unlock armor skins!

I haven’t seen any indication of this so it may already be implemented, but in case it isn’t, can we PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE have a tooltip on items informing us, like dyes, if we’ve unlocked or not unlocked a particular weapon or armor skin?

At the very least we will have the wardrobe itself to show us what we do and don’t have. It would be nice to have a tooltip tell us if we already unlocked this skin, and I bet we will have something like this. Only time will tell, though.

Well, as your wardrobe will show every skin available in-game, you can see which ones you have unlocked and which you haven’t.

Also, each item allows you to right-click on it to unlock it, maybe that option will be greyed-out if it is already unlocked.

That will help, but the way I charge through WvW, I end up salvaging 10-15 items roughly every half hour. If there was something just on the tooltip telling me if it was unlocked or not, that would make it easier than just right-clicking every item before salvaging them.

Granted, that’s a really minor thing to be inconvenienced by, but the amount of time i spend salvaging would cause it to really, really add up.

Skins can be unlocked by using consumables, equipping items, salvaging equipment, or right-clicking on equipment and account-binding it.

Well, salvaging any item unlocks it in your wardrobe, so that won’t be an issue.

From the blog:

Lol, ninja’d.

I forgot about that little bit. Yeah, there should be no problems at all then. Salvage stuff once and you’re good.

Well then! It appears I am going to be perfectly all set and unlocking stuff 1) without having to play alts and 2) without even knowing it. This solves all of the problems!
